Here are five things you need to know Tuesday, Jan. 7.

1. Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high around 15 in Jamaica Plain, according to the National Weather Service. Wind chill values will be as low as -7.

2. The Jamaica Plain branch library will hold a snow day themed story time of toddler and preschool children on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

3. Cheryl Watson-Harris, a Network Superintendent for Boston Public Schools serving schools in Jamaica Plain, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Discovering Justice. Read more about Watson-Harris here.

4. The family of Martin Richard, the eight-year-old killed in the Boston Marathon bombings, announced Monday that they have created a memorial foundation and are forming a charity running group in his honor.
