Five things to know in JP, Thursday, Aug. 15.
1. August Noise #3: Jamaica Plain's pop-up music series' third installment is Thursday at the Jamaica Plain Library.
2. Parks & Open Space: The Jamaica Plain parks and open spaces committee will meet Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at J.P. Licks.
3. Zoning: The Jamaica Plain zoning committee will meet Thursday, 7 p.m., Farnsworth House, 90 South St.
4. Climate Activists Meeting: The Boston "node" of 350.org will meet in JP Thursday at the Nate Smith house, 155 Lamartine St., at 7 p.m.
