  GEORGE ANASTOS \nOPENS IN EGLESTON SQUARE\n&nbsp\;\n(Jamaica Plain\, MA
  &ndash\; November 24\, 2012) A new exhibition series is opening to the 
 public on December 1 in Egleston Square's Millennium Restaurant. Jamaica
  Plain artist George Anastos will present a series of bright abstract pa
 intings entitled Juggling from December 1 &ndash\; 31\, 2012 at Millenni
 um Restaurant\, 3094 Washington Street\, Boston. This will be the inaugu
 ral exhibition for the art for life studio exhibitions in Jamaica Plain'
 s Egleston Square Neighborhood.\n&nbsp\;\nAn opening reception with the 
 artist will take place on Saturday\, December 1 from 4 &ndash\; 6 p.m. T
 he reception is free and open to the public. The opening is planned to c
 oincide with the holiday tree lighting in Egleston Square\, which will b
 e taking place earlier the same day\, starting at 2 p.m.\n&nbsp\;\n&ldqu
 o\;For me\, these paintings are full of color\, movement\, and happiness
 \, but they came out of the constant challenges that face us each day. T
 hat's why they are named the Juggling series\,&rdquo\; says artist Georg
 e Anastos.\n&nbsp\;\nA graduate of Butera School of Art\, Anastos has be
 en a working artist and art teacher in the Boston area for two decades. 
 In addition to teaching art at the Hernandez\, Bridge Charter and Advent
  Schools\, he is a community leader in Jamaica Plain\, where he has serv
 es on the board of Egleston Square Main Streets. Anastos has also served
  on the board of the Jamaica Plain Arts Council and was one of the found
 ers of the FreeZone Gallery series in the 1990's. He creates art that co
 mbines representational images with abstract compositional rigor and bri
