More About St John's Episcopal Church
This historic church was founded in 1839 and moved to its present location in 1882. On the church's Web site, church leaders describe the congregation as "a eucharistically based faith community of neighbors and families celebrating different understandings of the Christian faith within the Episcopal Church." The church also plays host to community events like JP Concerts, which are free or reduced-cost concerts. The church participates in Angel Food Ministries, which provides quality food to anyone, with no pre-qualifications. The rectory is near the church, at 24 Alveston Street. The rectory phone is 617-522-9093.
