DESCRIPTION:Enrichment excites all the animals&rsquo\; senses and can be 
 offered by zookeepers in a variety of different ways such as novelty foo
 ds\, sounds\, smells\, boxes\, bags\, and toys. Environmental enrichment
  encourages animals to use their natural abilities and behaviors to inte
 ract with their environment. Visit Franklin Park Zoo on July 7 and disco
 ver why enrichment is so important. Throughout the day\, guests will hav
 e the opportunity to see many of the animals receive enrichment items ma
 de especially for them. In honor of Franklin Park Zoo&rsquo\;s centennia
 l\, the animals will be celebrating too with birthday themed enrichment 
 items including paper mache cakes\, ice treats and other fun surprises.
