More About The Urbano Project

The Urbano Project

29 Germania St, Jamaica Plain, MA
617-983-1007

The Urbano Project provides a space for teens from urban areas to work with professional artists to create visual and performance art that's rooted in creating social change. The projects at Urbano encourage teens to work together and cross borders they may have never before been aware of. Projects are inspired by pop culture, history and the partcipants' own experiences and are mixed-media pieces that blend performance and visual art. The teens also are exposed to Boston's contemporary art scene and gain a better understanding of art, curation and community.
