There’s no place like home, especially when it’s a safe home. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, home robberies occur every 12 seconds, and approximately one in six homes will be burglarized this year. Now it’s more important than ever to protect your loved ones and your belongings by installing a home security system.
With many alarm systems to choose from, including wireless and hard-wired, you may be wondering where to start. In a world run by smart phones, landlines are becoming a thing of the past. So if you’re thinking about installing a home security system but you don’t have a landline, a wireless alarm system is your best bet.
While traditional systems are still effective, there are many advantages of installing a wireless system. Using battery-powered wireless sensors allows you to have a complete security system without running costly electrical wires through your home—a great alternative for people living in older homes, condominiums or apartments.
And since wireless systems have their own batteries, they can be easily installed in locations in a home where there is no electrical access, saving you time and money. The system can also be expanded as needed, and integrated with home automation systems that allow you to monitor your home remotely by a phone or computer system. Plus, wireless security systems are portable, so you can easily take yours with you if you move.
One of the biggest draws of installing a wireless security system is that it is usually very affordable, with most alarm monitoring companies offering specials to new customers. But the best plus of all is peace of mind. If you decide that a wireless security system is right for you, there’s no reason to wait. Get started today so you can be certain your home and family will be safe from harm.

Do people get up every seven minutes while watching television and shout "THIS IS A COMMERCIAL, NOT A TV SHOW!!"?

Wireless alarm systems are very easy to install by yourself. I purchased a wireless alarm system from Protect America a couple of years ago and installed it by myself in about 20 minutes as a Protect America representative stayed on the phone and walked me through it.

This blog is in the "Local Voice" section of the Waltham Patch. Is it also a local voice in other editions of the Patch? I am just curious as I am trying to understand what is "local" about it. Foghorn, you mentioned the Merrimack Valley, that is why made me ask.

So what they are paid ad/blogs? Patch has to generate revenue in order to provide this website.

Nothing's wrong with ads. What's annoying is they masquerade as "local voice".
