We should certainly stay on MDOT's case to make this intersection as welcoming and safe as humanly possible for foot and bicycle traffic, but by not building a bridge, we're already way ahead of the game on that.

Given it's a badly built crumbling structure that would be facing it's third reconstruction in 30 years, the long term practical solution is to get rid of it.
