Celebrate the Season at Egleston Farmers Market

Jamaica Plain residents and folks from Brookline, Waltham, and even New Hampshire have been flocking to JP’s first indoor seasonal market at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, 45 Brookside Ave. on Saturdays from 11-2.

Opening day on November 10 brought in over a thousand people, and enthusiastic shoppers have been coming back each week.

Jamaica Plain is the home of so many great wonderful food producers, as well as local artists and musicians, so it’s the perfect setting for a community market.  Where else in JP can you enjoy free music, bring your children for facepainting or story telling, buy local art, pick up a holiday wreath, get lunch from a food truck, sip a free cup of coffee donated by one of our fine establishments AND shop for fresh local foods, all in one place?

This Saturday, December 8, the Mei Mei Street Kitchen food truck will be back to serve up their Double Awesome sandwich and other tasty delights in the parking lot at 45 Brookside Ave. Inside, we’ll have:

The Egleston Farmers Market is pleased to be a SNAP/EBT vendor, and we are participating in the Bounty Bucks program, which helps make the market more affordable for people using food stamps. The volunteer-run market is sponsored by Egleston Square Main Street and Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition, with support from many volunteers and generous donors.

The market will also be open on 12/15 with more great food and holiday cheer, and every Saturday in January and February.

So please check it out!
