What's the Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Jamaica Plain?

Vote in our poll, defend your choice in the comments section and on the bars' Places pages. The contest ends at 9 a.m. Friday.

In recent weeks, we've been asking JP residents to tell us what the best businesses in the neighborhood are.

Last week, our Readers' Choice poll focused on day care/pre-schools, with The Mosaic School and Pine Village Preschool sharing top honors. The week before that, J.P. Licks took home the title of "Best Smoothie/Batido."

This week the category is: Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Here's how it works. Vote in the poll below. Add comments supporting your decision and influencing other residents to see that you're right, after all.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll isn't scientific, it isn't the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor (that's me, Chris Helms), based on poll results, comments on this story and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey.

And now, the nominees, along with links to their Patch Places pages. I've cast a wide net here, going beyond our many traditional Irish pubs:

The winner gets bragging rights and a framed certificate from Patch. Let the voting and commenting begin!

The best way to celebrate, with music! Want an alternative to the usual St. Patty's Day madness? Skip the green beer and head over to the Midway for our Anti-St. Patty's Party at the Midway, featuring music by Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, Rick Berlin & the Nickel and Dime Band, and opening the evening, rude boy ska from The Cultured! http://www.facebook.com/events/186803994761978/

The best place to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day is in your local house of worship. And get off my four green fields, you ruffians!

If I added Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Thomas Aquinas as options, that would make this a very interesting poll! :)
