Recently The Esplanade Association presented one possible vision of the Esplanade of the future, a vision which could include redesigning Storrow Drive, dismantling the Bowker overpass, and installing a ferris wheel reminiscent of the London Eye.

In , the Esplanade Association's executive director, Sylvia Salas, explained that, "This is a vision. These are a group of ideas. This is not a proposal, this is not a plan."

The Association also showed a video of their concepts, and, after the segment on the ferris wheel ended, the voiceover asked, "Anyone got a better idea?"

Would you put in a ferris wheel, or is a roller coaster more your style?  Would you prefer extensive landscaping with exotic plants, or turning the entire thing into an impenetrable pine forest?
