State of Our Neighborhood Postponed

Snow has caused the JP Forum to push back the third annual neighborhood talk.

The third annual State of Our Neighborhood forum has been postponed due to difficulty of travel following the weekend’s snowstorm.

The event has been moved to Tuesday. Feb. 26. It will be held at the Kennedy Elementary School in Hyde/Jackson Square.

The forum, sponsored by several JP-based companies and organizations, put citizens and legislators together to discuss community happenings during the year that was and the upcoming year.

Maybe if places like Whole Foods and the MSPCA that arguably make millions paid someone to shovel their sidewalks instead of forcing the elderly and disabled into the streets for days AFTER the snow stops falling people could navigate JP a little bit easier? The MSPCA was actually holding a "fundraiser" selling flowers while there was 4 feet of snow packed all the way around the the block covering the entire sidewalk. You'd think the 7 thousand me and my friends have given them THIS YEAR would pay for at least some snow removal? WF too. There is no excuse for businesses to not clean the sidewalks, days after a storm. You want to talk about "community" put your your words into actions.
