'State of Our Neighborhood’ Forum on in Feb.
The third annual community gathering will feature several government officials and cover a broad range of topics.
Jamaica Plain’s government officials, boards, committees, business owners and citizens will convene next month to discuss the state of the neighborhood.
The third annual “State of Our Neighborhood” forum will take place Feb. 12, according to a press release from the Jamaica Plain Forum.
Subjects on the table include: youth issues, urban agriculture, transportation, education, senior resources, affordable housing and neighborhood businesses, according to the press release.
The JP Forum writes: “Breakout groups will allow all of us to participate in conversations with each other on the topics which concern us the most. Please spread the word and save the date. If you have been before, let people know how important it is that we continue this conversation.”
Sen. Sonia Chang-Diaz, Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez, Rep. Liz Malia, Rep. Russel Holmes, Councilor Felix G. Arroyo and Councilor Matt O’Malley are scheduled to appear.
The “State of Our Neighborhood” forum is from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the Kennedy Elementary School.
