Protesting MBTA Service Cuts and Price Hikes? Share Your Photos

Several activist groups aim to make Monday a "Day of Action" to protest fare hikes and service cuts at the MBTA. A group from Occupy JP aims to flyer at Forest Hills T before joining a larger rally at Copley Square.

Activist groups ranging from various Occupy movements to the T Riders Union plan to make Monday a "Day of Action" against T .

Occupy JP has announced plans to gather at the at 3 p.m. Monday to hand out flyers and hold "mic checks." The latter are the famous Occupy Wall Street method of using a crowd to amplify individual voices.

Protesters aim to rally in Copley Square, just down from the Back Bay T station, at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

From there, protesters aim to attend a of the MBTA concerning the proposed cuts and rate hikes. The meeting is at 6 p.m. at the adjacent Boston Public Library Main Library. The format is similar to ones held across metro Boston, .
