Police Seek Witnesses to Knife and Gun Fight at Same Old Place

A fight that claimed two lives took place in JP's busiest business district — and police are calling for witnesses to contact them at 617-343-4470.

Same Old Place was packed with two dozen people Sunday night when a gun and knife fight erupted, according to a source.

And while police appeared to have interviewed several witnesses last night, including ones held on an MBTA bus in the middle of Centre Street, they are asking other people to come forward.

Boston Police detectives ask anyone with information to contact them at 617- 343-4470. Anonoymous tips may be called in to 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).

Police are releasing some new details about the incident that left two men dead and two people wounded — one of whom was a woman all the way across Centre street from the fight. Below is a press release from Boston Police:

Around 7:30pm Sunday, officers went to Same Old Place for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located several victims suffering from injuries resulting from one incident. Officers observed a white Hispanic victim approximately 21 years old suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital and was soon pronounced deceased.

Officers located a second white Hispanic male victim, approximately 21 years old, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital and was pronounced deceased.

A third white Hispanic male approximately 28 years old was located suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Boston Medical Center and is currently listed in stable condition.

A fourth victim, a female, was located across the street from 662 Centre Street. She was transported to Faulkner Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the three males were involved in an altercation at Same Old Place restaurant. The altercation led to the subsequent gunshot and stab wounds of the individuals.

The Boston Police Department has immediately increased patrols to the area.
