"Occupy JP" Holds Organizational Meeting
A new "Occupy JP" group met Sunday at Doyle's with an aim of mobilizing "to defend working-class and poor people against the dictatorship of Wall Street.”
Organizing has begun toward an "Occupy JP" movement. The group, which lists as its aim "to defend working-class and poor people against the dictatorship of Wall Street," met Sunday at Doyle's.
The Occupy JP Facebook group was closed to public as of Monday afternoon, though people may ask to join it. There is a Facebook page that is open to the public.
Organizers encourage persons interested in helping build a neighborhood offshoot of the ongoing Occupy Boston protests in Dewey Square to attend a second organizational meeting on Sunday, this one at Spontaneous Celebrations on Danforth Street. The meeting is planned for 6 p.m.
None of the Facebook materials indicate where a potential occupation in JP might physically take place.
