Motorcyclist Who Died Was Juan Feliz, 35, of Boston

Police released the name of the man who died in an Aug. 20 wreck on Walnut Avenue. But they have not determined the cause of the accident.

Police have identified the man struck and killed in a motorcycle accident last week. He was Juan Feliz, 35, of Boston. Friends and family called him Jonathan.

The wreck took place about 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 20 at 490 Walnut Ave. in the Parkside neighborhood. The crash involved a yellow Yamaha motorcycle and a van from The RIDE, which is a transit service for the disabled. No passengers were in the van at the time of the wreck, according to the JP Gazette.

Police say the driver of the van was taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital for treatment. Members of the Boston Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service tried to help the motorcycle rider, Feliz, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No cause has been determined for the wreck so far and the investigation remains active, according to the latest from the Police Department.
