A motorcycle rider is dead after an apparent collision with a RIDE van in Jamaica Plain's Parkside neighborhood.
UPDATE, Monday, 9:30 p.m.: No name has been released for the victim. Police say the van struck the motorcyclist. Here is an updated story.

UPDATE, Monday 1:46 p.m.: Police say the victim was male. They are still investigating the incident and haven't issued any violations. According to the Gazette, there were no passengers in the RIDE van at the time of the wreck.

A motorcyclist's helmet sat at the intersection beside the rider's shrouded body after a fatal wreck in Jamaica Plain Monday morning.
Details are yet to be confirmed, but the cyclist's body is in a body bag at the intersection of Walnut and Montebello. There was apparently a collision with a RIDE van.
