The week was a bit slow for Jamaica Plain standards as city and state officials plan for meetings in the coming month.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation officials announced there will be a meeting to update the public on the Casey Arborway project on Feb. 6.

Jamaica Plain Forum announced the third annual "State of Our Neighborhood" meeting for Feb. 12.

As it turned out, JP Patch published a lot of stories revolving around The Haven this week. And why not, they’re celebrating a major Scottish tradition this weekend.

The Egleston Farmers’ Market may stay open through summer, according to a Thursday blog.

Gov. Deval Patrick released a $34.8 billion budget plan last week.
