UPDATE: Jaws of Life Used in Serious Columbus Avenue Wreck
A woman suffered severe head and facial injuries.
A serious wreck occurred on Columbus Avenue on the JP/Roxbury line on March 4, 2011. It took out a light pole and the driver needed to be extricated with special tools.

A woman suffered serious head and facial injuries in a wreck near 2010 Columbus Ave. Emergency crews had to use the "Jaws of Life" to get her out, according to scanner traffic.
The incident happened around 9:50 a.m.
UPDATE (Monday, March 7): A Dorchester man was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury in connection with this wreck.
