Jamaica Plain's Wake Up The Earth Festival is Go Saturday

Despite a chance of showers, JP's biggest festival will take place on Saturday.

Organizers of the Wake Up The Earth Festival have decided against a rain delay to Sunday.

There may be some showers (). But that shouldn't stop thousands of revelers from coming out to celebrate the neighborhood.

There will be four stages of music and entertainment, plus food, information booths and just about all of your neighbors.

The festival celebrates the community banding together to turn back plans to build I-95 through the heart of JP. Instead, the Southwest Corridor Park is where the interstate would have been.
