This week JP residents are voting here on Patch on the "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in JP." But how do our Irish bars hold up against those elsewhere in Boston?

Here's a roundup of how other media outlets have honored or ignored our Irish bars:

IGNORED: WBZ-TV's Boston's Best Bars for Celebrating St. Patrick's Day lacks a single JP pub.

HONORED: TimeOut Boston listed the Brendan Behan for best Literary Heritage and James's Gate for Best Guiness in their "Boston's Best: Irish Bars" list.

HONORED: CitySearch singled out the Behan as a great "thimble-sized pub" in their St. Patrick's Day Boston 2011 feature.

HONORED: Doyle's got some love from Gayot's list of St. Patrick's Day Dining in Boston.

HONORED: Boston Magazine lauded the Behan as the Best Irish Pub in Boston for not "catering to students, putting flat-screens on the walls and wings on the menu."

IGNORED: In its St. Pat's Guide, Boston.com managed to list 17 beer bars without mentioning any in Jamaica Plain.

There are only hours left to vote and comment in the JP Patch "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in JP" contest, which ends at 9 a.m. Friday.
