Has Your Street Not Been Plowed?

The storm is long over, but several Jamaica Plain streets are still just as snow covered as they were Saturday morning.

Several Jamaica Plain streets are still completely covered with snow.

Jamaica Plain Patch readers have emailed and sent photos via Twitter of streets in the neighborhood that have yet to see one pass with a plow since the snow began to come down hard overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

The city of Boston plowed streets through the night, and they're taking requests via forms on the city's website: www.cityofboston.gov. The city's corresponding Twitter handle is @NotifyBoston.

This is the city's last Tweet from about 10:30 Saturday night: "Crews working through the night, all streets will be plowed. Thanks for your patience; add requests here: http://ow.ly/hzWLv"

The mayor's hotline is experiencing heavy call volumes Sunday morning, according to an alert on the city's site.

If your street needs to be plowed, list it in the comments. Photos are helpful also. Jamaica Plain Patch will compile the list and try to find out when plows will be coming through.

Revere Street on Sumner Hill in JP has not been plowed at all; no one can get out. We have a person in our house who needs to get off the hill today for a very early morning surgery appointment tomorrow, so if anyone has a 4-wheel drive & would be willing to drive her at least down to Centre Street, can you leave a note here?

Roanoke Ave in is not plowed. Cannot get our cars out of driveway. If we could get our cars out, they would get stuck in street because snow is too deep.

Newbern, Bishop, John A. Andrew, and Sedgwick Streets have not been plowed. On top of that, some people on these streets have dumped the snow from their cars onto the road. The Mayor's plow request form does not recognize any of those streets. I couldn't get through the Mayor's Hotline either.

Weld Hill st still has 12" of snow most vehicles cannot pass. Also there is a 10-12' mound of snow in the street at Wenham and Weld Hill st, blocking vision and preventing passage of vehicles. Emergency vehicles cannot get by it!

Cont'd. The small plow trucks that came by fri night got stuck in snow and dumped the snow in street at Wenham and Weld Hill. We have named it. " The Monument to City Efficiency"! Pedestrians are posing for pictures with it. It's a man made wonder!

Ha! I live up the corner on Wachusett and I took a short walk to the corner of Weld and Wachusett this morning to see if it would be feasible to attempt to get to work today. No chance!
