Mark your calendars. The JP Music Festival has set Saturday, Sept. 8 as the date for its second incarnation.

Last August the inaugural fest drew crowds to Pinebank on Jamaica Pond to hear from bands with JP roots (and special guest Gordon Gano of Violent Femmes fame.)

Of course, putting on a day of celebrating the awesomeness and diversity of JP's music scene ain't cheap. The festival has been having fundraisers around the neighborhood. Keep an eye on the JP Patch calendar for the next one. Or check out ways to donate at this link on the festival's Web site.
