Dancing Man Breaks 39 Bus Window With Fist at Forest Hills Station

Transit Police arrested a 36-year-old man who, according to a bus driver, danced and made sexual gestures at her through a closed bus door before breaking two of the door's four window panes.

Transit Police report that an agitated man, upset that he wasn't being allowed onto the 39 Bus, broke the door windows with his fist.

The incident took place Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Forest Hills Station upper busway. The man allegedly came up to the closed door of a 39 Bus and began dancing to impress the female bus driver.

According to a police report, he allegedly rubbed the front of his pants along the door of the bus "in a sexual manner." He told the driver he would "rock her world if given the chance."

When police arrived, the found the man had blood on his right hand. Two of the four windows to the bus had been broken. The man allegedly admitted to breaking the windows.

Police say the man refused medical attention and was uncooperative about being arrested. Because he held his body rigid and said he could take all the officers in a fight, police say they were forced to shackle his feet and force him into the back seat of the police car.

Cornell Robbins, 36, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property.

This guy isn't even remotely justified in doing what he did, but who hasn't had a train conductor shut the doors a split second before they could board, or a bus driver pull away even though you were RIGHT THERE? And let's be real: you never know when the next 39 will show up. Sometimes there's three in a row, and then nothing for 15 minutes. Easy to say "just wait for the next bus" when you're not that guy.
