Boston Public Schools CLOSED Tuesday

Boston crews are working around the clock to make all Boston streets passable, forcing public schools to be closed again on Tuesday.

Boston Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 12 due to the continued cleanup of the blizzard of 2013 that dropped more than 20 inches on Beantown's neighborhoods.

Mayor Thomas Menino's official twitter account tweeted: "Boston Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 12.#bosnow #bps"

Boston Public Schools are also closed next week for Febrary break.

No mail delivery on Monday. Snow removal is terrible three days after the snow stopped, Roads like South Street and Bussey St. Wachusett and Weld Ave et al are cart paths. Phone calls to the mayors "hot line" are ignored. It is the 21st century - New England urban area should be better prepared than this. In forty years living in JP I have never seen it this bad after only ONE major snowfall. And for the life of me I cannot understand why.
