5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 5

The holidays are coming to JP.

1. Santa will be at Mt. Washington Bank at 515 Centre St. from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8.

2. A protest is planned to take place outside of Ferris Wheels bike shop this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Fair Share, a local grassroots organization, is seeing to "shift the debate over the ‘Fiscal Cliff’ away from partisan politics and towards growing the economy and investing in the middle class," according to a media advisory.

3. Ula Cafe had a coffee cupping event yesterday at 4 p.m. (We're sure there will be such events in the future. Stay tuned).

4. Police apprehended a suspect in yesterday's Williams Street house break in. Jamaica Plain Patch is in the process of gathering details.

5. There's still time to "Deck The House!"
