Jamaica Plain will soon have its own symphony orchestra. The orchestra was founded recently by William Shoucair, music director of both the Dorchester Symphony Orchestra and Boston Repertory Orchestra. We hope to have the orchestra up an running as early as later this summer, and are expecting a season of at least 4 concerts.

Positions in the orchestra are available in most sections and will be filled by experience and/or audition. A high level of skill is required. You can request an audition by emailing jpsymphony@yahoo.com. This is non-paying.

The symphony is also seeking community members to serve as volunteers, on the board of directors, or on the advisory board.
